John 1:6-13

• John came as a witness to testify about the light.
• John was not the Light, but the one sent by God to point to the Light.
• Christ is the Light and He illuminates or shines on everyone.

John 1:14-18

• It is for the purpose of redemption that God sent John to proclaim that the true Word and Light was here.

John 1:19-28

• The Pharisees are more concerned with who John is than who is coming.
