A Father's Character

Preacher: Mark McClintick Scripture: Ephesians 5:1– 6:4

Walk in love.

Put the needs of others before my own.

Reject immorality, impurity and greed.

We should not be found with filthiness, silly talk or course jesting.

Walk in light.

Protect what you hear and discern what you resolve in your heart.

What you do is on display for all to see, including your children.

The fruit of the Spirit should be evident in your life.

When you walk in light, you are more focused and in tune with what is pleasing to the Lord.

Walk in wisdom.

Live morally.

Genesis 3:16

Husbands cherish your wife, protect her, physically and spiritually, and seek her advice and approval before decisions are made.

Husbands you are called to put the interests of your wife above your own, to serve her sacrificially, meeting her needs and never let her doubt how much you love her.

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger.

Fathers, bring your children up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
