MISSION & CORE VALUES

Treasure Christ . Connect People . Transform the World

1. Biblically Faithful

Scripture is the final authority. Scripture will lead and guide us to making this God’s church. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5-6; 1 Peter 1:23; Matthew 4:4;Ephesians 2:19-22; Ephesians 5:23-32; Acts 2:41-47)

2. Growth Spiritually & Physically

The primary goal for us on earth is to spread the gospel (Matthew 28:16-20; Acts 1:8; Luke 9:57-62; Luke 14:33; Ephesians 2:8-9)

3. Dependence on Prayer

We believe that the power of prayer is greater than anything man can try to control; therefore, our church will rely on prayer as a foundation. (2 Chronicles 7:14; Luke 11:1; Romans 8:26; Colossians 1:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Isaiah 56:7; Matthew 21:13; Matthew 21:22; Acts 1:14; Romans 12:12; 1 Corinthians 7:5; 2 Corinthians 1:11; Ephesians 6:18; Philippians 4:6; 1 Timothy 4:5; James 5:13-18)

4. Family Affirming

We aspire to provide an atmosphere which strengthens marriages and families. We are committed to directing you to God’s word: singles, marriages, parenting, youth, and even the beginning stages, we are here for you and desire to show you the power of God’s word. (Psalm 133:1; Ephesians 4:3, Ephesians 4:13; 1 Corinthians 1:10; Ephesians 1:10)

5. Love

We believe people are called to and made for loving relationships. (Matthew 22:37-39; Exodus 20:1-17, 1 Corinthians 5:13-14)

6. Unity as a Body

Believing everyone in the church should be serving each other… “One suffers, we all suffer; one rejoices, we all rejoice”. This will illuminate the love of Christ to the community. We believe that it is in the manner of true kingdom greatness to lower ourselves in serving others. – We desire to be a church that sees serving as a privilege, not a burden; a joy, not a drag; a calling, not a preference. In Matthew 20:26-28, Jesus indicates that true greatness consists in serving others when he said: “…whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve….” Our call then is to not serve others because we have to, but rather because to do so is in the manner of kingdom greatness as modeled by our Lord. It is our aim to become a community consisting of members who genuinely delight in what we can do for each other. (Mark 10:44, 1 Corinthians 9:23, Ephesians 4; Romans 12:4-8, Ephesians 5:25)

7. Grace Oriented

We emphasize God's unconditional acceptance and full forgiveness through Jesus Christ. We attempt to motivate people through love and encouragement rather than guilt, shame, and duty. God’s love controls us, we should see progressive growth in our lives as we focus and turn our eyes on Him. (1 Corinthians 4:3-4, Matthew 7:1-5, Hebrews 9:14, Matthew 11:28-30, Psalm 86:4-7, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 1 John 1:9, Proverbs 28:13-14, Ephesians 5:1-2, 2 Corinthians 2:7-8, 1 Corinthians 13:5, 1 Peter 4:8)
